Finishing Edges

The zigzag stitch is suitable for finishing all types of fabric. Use darning thread for fine materials.

    Prerequisite:

  1. The edge of the fabric should lie flat and not roll.
  1. Fit the zigzag foot or overlock foot.
  2. Do not set the stitch length too long.
  3. Set the stitch pattern selector knob to B.
  4. Do not set the stitch width too wide.
  5. Guide the edge of the fabric into the center of the zigzag foot so that the needle goes into the fabric on one side and over the edge into the air on the other side.
  6. Guide the edge of the fabric along the guide plate on the overlock foot (1) so that the needle goes into the fabric on one side and over the edge into the air on the other side.
