Sewing Patchwork

Piecing

  1. Fit the zigzag foot or patchwork foot.
  2. Set the stitch pattern selector knob to A.
  3. Set the stitch length knob to the required stitch length of 1–3.
  4. Set the needle position to Center.
  5. Place 2 pieces right sides together.
  6. Sew the pieces together with a seam allowance of 5 mm or guide them along the guide of the patchwork foot.
  8. Press the seam allowances open.

Embellishing Seams

  1. Fit the zigzag foot.
  2. Set the decorative stitch you have chosen.
  3. Set the required stitch width.
  4. Set the needle position to Center.
  5. Continue to work on the right side of the fabric.
  6. Place the joining seam under the center of the presser foot.
  7. Sew over the seam using a decorative stitch.
