Threading the Bobbin Thread

  1. Raise the needle.
  2. Open the bobbin cover.
  3. Remove the top bobbin cover.
  4. Switch the machine off.
  5. Open the bobbin case flap and remove the bobbin case.
  6. Insert the bobbin into the bobbin case so that the thread is wound clockwise.
  8. Pull the thread into the slit from the right.
  10. Pass the thread further beneath the spring through the opening.
  12. Pull the thread to ensure that the bobbin is wound clockwise.

    Needle Breakage Caused by Unevenly Wound Bobbins

    Unevenly wound bobbins can lead to incorrect thread tension or cause needles to break.

    1. Only use evenly wound bobbins.
  14. Hold the bobbin case at the flap and insert it into the hook until it clicks into position.
  16. Fit the top bobbin cover.
  17. Close the bobbin cover.
