Positioning the Presser Foot Up/Down

The lifted presser foot allows you to place the sewing project under the presser foot. The lowered presser foot is a prerequisite for starting to sew.

  1. Lift the presser foot lifter until it engages.
  2. The presser foot remains in the upper position.
  3. The thread tension is released.
  4. Lower the presser foot lifter.
  5. The machine is ready for sewing.
  6. The thread tension is active.
