Binding Seams

Seam binding proves ideal for elastic necklines, sleeve edgings and circular finishes.

  1. Cut the bias tape or tricot strips to size at the desired width.
  2. Mark the seam, pre-iron or pin it.
  3. Place the binding around the edge of the fabric and start sewing.
  4. Guide the edge of the binding on the upper side of the sewing project along the left spring-loaded foot part.
  5. On the bottom side, the edge of the binding is finished by the looper thread.
  6. Trim the protruding seam allowance to 2 mm.
