3-Thread Rolled Hem

Upper looper thread (blue) wraps fabric edge too loosely.

  1. Increase UL-thread tension (blue).
  2. Increase the cutting width CW.
  3. Increase the stitch length SL.

The fabric edge doesn't curl as intended.

  1. Increase the cutting width CW.
  2. Increase LL-thread tension (red).
  3. Increase UL-thread tension (blue).
  4. Reduce the stitch length SL.
  5. Check the rolled hem selection N/R position.

Upper looper thread (blue) wraps fabric edge too tightly.

  1. Reduce UL-thread tension (blue).
  2. Reduce the stitch length SL.

Lower looper thread (red) not straight along the needle thread.

  1. Increase LL-thread tension (red).
  2. Increase RN-thread tension (green).

The seam puckers.

  1. Set the differential feed between 1 and 0.6 (stretching).
  2. Reduce LL-thread tension (red).
  3. Reduce RN-thread tension (green).
  4. Reduce the stitch length SL.

Needle thread (green) forms loops on bottom side of the fabric.

  1. Increase RN-thread tension (green).
