Threading the Bobbin Thread

Needle Breakage Caused by Unevenly Wound Bobbins

Unevenly wound bobbins can lead to incorrect thread tension or cause needles to break.

  1. Only use evenly wound bobbins.

    Prerequisite:

  1. The needle is raised.
  2. The presser foot is raised.
  3. The machine is switched off.
  1. To open the bobbin cover, push the handle to the right and remove the bobbin cover.
  2. Insert a new bobbin so that the thread is wound counterclockwise.
  3. Pull the thread into the slit (1).
  4. Press gently on the bobbin.
  5. Follow the arrow markings to bring the thread into the bobbin thread guide.
  6. To cut off excess thread, take the end of the thread and pull it over the thread cutter (2).
  7. Attach the bobbin cover.
